Deep in the mountains of Bald Creek, North Carolina, where raw silver ingots meet hammer and fire, the Equinox Concho Ring was born — a one-of-a-kind wearable sculpture hand forged by Robert Wilson of Appalachian Smith.
Four cone motifs radiate outward from the center — one for each season of the year. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. The druzy stone at the center is the sun itself, the constant around which all seasons turn. Every element of this ring was worked entirely by hand from raw sterling ingot — no casting, no shortcuts, no two alike.
The serrated bezel cradles the druzy stone in hand-cut teeth. The double band rises from a stamped backplate, split and forged from a single piece of ingot silver. Hand-stamped triangle wire wraps the shank. The entire surface is oxidized and hand-polished to bring every stamped detail into sharp relief.

About the Stone
Druzy (also spelled drusy or druse) refers to a layer of tiny natural quartz crystals that form on the surface of a host stone over millions of years — the result of mineral-rich water slowly evaporating and leaving behind a sparkling, crystalline crust. No two druzy stones are alike.
The stone in this ring features a titanium vapor deposition coating — a common and accepted practice in the gemstone industry — which gives it its distinctive metallic silver finish. The natural crystal formation beneath remains intact, and the titanium surface catches and shifts light with every movement of the hand.
Stone Care
The titanium-coated druzy surface is delicate. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, harsh chemicals, soaps, or ultrasonic cleaners. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth.
