This ring was forged from raw silver ingot — built by hand from scratch in the Appalachian Mountains of Bald Creek, North Carolina. No casting. No molds. Every element was worked at the anvil using traditional smithing techniques passed down through generations of metalworkers.
The Stone
The centerpiece is a genuine natural Mediterranean Italian red coral cabochon — deep, saturated crimson with the warm luster only real coral carries. 9 carats. 21.7mm long, 8.7mm wide, 6mm deep. This is not dyed, not synthetic, not reconstituted. It is authentic Mediterranean coral, increasingly rare and highly collectible. Set in silver the way it deserves to be.
The Setting
The bezel is hand-fabricated from sterling silver and bordered with twisted square wire — solid square silver wire twisted by hand to create a crisp, faceted rope border that frames the coral with precision. The bezel is open-backed, allowing you to see the natural underside of the coral through the setting — a hallmark of fine handmade jewelry and a detail that speaks to the quality of the stone itself. Flanking the stone are two hand-stamped sunburst conchos — one at each shoulder — each one struck individually with a custom tool. The oxidized relief makes every detail pop against the polished silver.
The Band
The band is a classic half-round profile at 5mm wide — comfortable, substantial, and hand-stamped with floral and leaf motifs using custom stamping tools. The oxidized finish brings out every detail of the stamp work. Hallmarked RW and stamped Sterling for authenticity.
