A one-of-a-kind cuff bracelet hand-forged from raw ingot silver by R. Wilson of Appalachian Smith, Bald Creek, North Carolina. Every element of this piece was built by hand — no casting, no commercial findings, no shortcuts.
The Stone
The centerpiece is a natural, unstabilized Royston turquoise cabochon measuring approximately 29×18mm, mined and hand-cut by the supplier. Royston turquoise is among the most sought-after American turquoise, known for its vivid blue-green color and rich brown matrix. This stone was hand-selected for its depth of color and character — no two Royston stones are alike.
The Fabrication
The cuff was forged from raw ingot silver — silver melted down and worked from scratch rather than cut from commercial sheet stock. Both feathers were hand-drawn and are intentionally asymmetric; each is unique, as they would be in nature. The radiating feather lines were hand-chased into the silver surface, and the twisted rope wire bezel was hand-fabricated and fitted to the stone. This is not a stamped or cast piece — it is fully fabricated by hand from start to finish.
The Stampwork
The band features hand-stamped southwestern and thunderbird motifs, including impressions made with unique handmade stamps. The impressions on this cuff are unique on this piece. Additional stampwork runs along the interior of the band, visible when worn.
